In her role as President and owner of the firm, Pat Wassik interacts on a daily basis with the company’s property managers as she concentrates on client relations and business development.  She is responsible for providing direction and on-going training to staff and assures property owners and hospital administrators of high standards and procedures.  In addition, she has developed and implemented regulatory lease compliance programs, specific to each client’s requirements.

Ms. Wassik’s experience comes from owning and operating a full service healthcare real estate company in Colorado’s Front Range. She had been instrumental in growing the firm’s asset/property management business to a 2 million square foot medical office portfolio which included 4 major hospital systems.  She, along with her key staff developed management plans for each portfolio transition that included a comprehensive plan to enhance the value and profitability of each medical office building.

Her early career emphasized on property and construction management services.  Her construction management experience includes tenant finish coordination, total building renovation and conversion of use.  She has developed a Construction Management Training Manual providing a step-by-step process for tenant finish coordination.  This manual has been recognized nationally by the Institute of Real Estate Management.  Pat also has expertise in property tax evaluation and exemption and has had demonstrable success in reducing property taxes.

In recent years, Ms. Wassik has proven her expertise in brokerage sales transactions, ranging from raw land to a redevelopment opportunity in Cherry Creek.  She completed sales transactions on several medical office buildings ranging in value of $1.1 million to $3 million.   Her experience and negotiating skills are essential ingredients to successful resolution to the most challenging lease transactions as well; and most particularly between physicians and hospital administrators.  Her hands-on management style provides the ideal training and supervision to the company’s leasing staff.

Ms. Wassik began her real estate career with Western Skies in 1982, managing medical office properties.  In 1990, she became the Director of Management Services for Western Skies Management Co. and a principal in the firm.  She went on to further her career as Principal and CEO of InSite Properties, Inc. at the end of 1991.  In February 2002, she sold her interest in InSite Properties, Inc. and founded Health Connect Properties, Inc.

Pat received her B.A. from Central Connecticut State University with a major in Economics.  She earned her Real Estate Sales License in 1984, upgraded to a Broker’s license in 1994, achieved the designation of CERTIFIED PROPERTY MANAGER® in 1986 and the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation in 1999.  She has been actively involved with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation/ The Race for the Cure® Denver, The Brent Eley Foundation, and PorterCare Hospital Foundation.
